Central programme of Lachit Divas telecasted at Biswanath

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Nov 25: The Biswanath district administration paid tribute to Mahabir Lachit Borphukan on his 400th birth anniversary. The live telecast of the central programme of Lachit Borphukan that was held in the country’s capital was telecasted at Kamalakantha Natya Samaj in Biswanath by the Biswanath district administration.
The program started at 11 am which was attended by deputy commissioner of Biswanath, Munindra Nath Nagatey; superintendent of police, Biswanath Navin Singh; additional commissioners, Liza Talukdar; Dr Surya Kamal Bora, Kulen Sharma and Biswajit Saikia; assistant commissioner, Ananya Lahkar and Biswanath Zilla Parishad, chief executive officer, Pradeep Sutradhar.
The live broadcast was also attended by various officers and employees of the district administration, including teachers and students of various schools. The DC Munindra Nath Nagatey thanked everyone for their cooperation in the programme and for making the mission a success.
