GUWAHATI, April 19: The Managing Committee of Guwahati Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) under the leadership of their inclusion-forward Chairperson CA. Raginee Goyal organized Rongali Bihu Celebration for Chartered Accountants of Guwahati. The event started with the lighting of the lamp and CA. Jay Prakash Gupta, Secretary of the Branch anchored the event and CA. Raginee Goyal, Chairperson gave the Welcome Address and extended warm greetings of the festival to the members.
A colourful tribal folk dance sequence was followed by a traditional Bihu performance by the artists of Milijuli Sangskrtik Gushthi and renowned influencer Syed Marruf Hussain of Parishay Assam graced the event as Chief Guest. The co-ordination of the event was done by CA. Rita Rajkumari and she also organized the traditional “Tekeli Bhanga” game for the members which was enjoyed by the Chartered Accountants.
CA Anjani Kumar Mundhra, CA. Piyush Birmiwal, CA Vikash Choudhury were also present along with many senior Chartered Accountants of the Branch. CA. Kumar Victor Saha gave the formal vote of thanks and the program ended with the chanting of the State Anthem.
The Chartered Accountants including a number of past Chairmen of the Branch enjoyed the traditional performances and games and also danced their hearts out with the artists and also the staff of the Branch, while celebrating Bihu, the festival of joy, which signifies inclusiveness and togetherness of the communities and tribes of the region.
A sumptuous Hi tea feast was shared by all present to relish the delicacies and sweets of Assam. The event exemplified the commitment of Chartered Accountants to community engagement, cultural preservation, and nurturing professional bonding and brotherhood.
