BOKAJAN, Nov 3: The Karbi Students Association (KSA), Bokajan District Committee (BDC) said that the compensation given for land for the construction of a 4 lane highway in Karbi Anglong is not properly done.

In a press conference held at Hanjanglangso, KSA said assistant revenue officers, SK, Mandolin and even Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council take 10% of the compensation money even if the land owner gets the compensation at all.
President, KSA BDC, Raju Engleng said, “Such wrong doings cannot go on. The KSA will take up agitation if anything such follows.”
Engleng said, “Areas between Dillai and Nahorjan at Section 7 is forested but are shown as residential.”
Assistant secretary, KSA BDC, John Lekthe also attended the press conference.
