GUWAHATI, Nov 18: Dr USN Murty, director, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Educations and Research (NIPER), chief guest to the ‘National Conference on Drug Discovery and In-Silico Drug Design’ organised by Royal School of Pharmacy at Royal Global University was warmly welcomed and felicitated by Prof (Dr) SP Singh, vice chancellor, Assam Royal Global University, and other senior dignitaries of the fraternity.
Prof (Dr) TK Maity, department of Pharmaceuticals, Jadavpur University, West Bengal, Prof (Dr) Dilip Solanki, general manager, Manufacturing Science and Technology Group, Sun Pharma, and Dr Sanjay K Banarjee, associate professor, department of Biotechnology, NIPER, also graced the occasion and delivered lectures on the topics – ‘Lead finding in drug discovery and development’, ‘In- silico drug discovery’, ‘Transforming the way medicine are made’, ‘Sodium Dependent Glucose Transporter’, and ‘A novel target for cardiomyopathy’.
The conference brought together students, faculties, researchers and industry persons in a discussion about the process of ‘Drug discovery and applications In-silico drug design in drug discovery’.
The national conference was attended and participated by 520 delegates from different parts of India.
