HAFLONG, May 13: Dima Hasao chief executive member, Debolal Gorlosa inaugurated more than 25 development projects and also laid foundation stones at various places under Dihangi constituency on Friday. He was accompanied by NCHAC chairperson Ranu Langthasa and executive members and members of autonomous.
Around 102 kms away from the district headquarters Haflong, villages under the Dihangi constituency have recently been witnessing progress in various fields such as education, road connectivity, medical facilities, sanitation and also in terms of traditional and cultural upliftment.
In an effort to improve road connectivity to Thaijuphang village, CEM Debolal Gorlosa inaugurated approach road to the village followed by inauguration of community hall ‘Baikho’ and solar light. Later at Mahurbra village he along with his team inaugurated the approach road to Mahurbra ‘Daikho’ –a prayer house of the Dimasas under the Assam Darshan scheme 2019-20. At Mahurbra he also inaugurated a hanging bridge constructed under the MAC package 2020-21.
Later proceeding to Amrudisa village, CEM Gorlosa inaugurated an approach road to the village implemented under the SOPD 2019-20. RCC water reservoir along with a solar pump constructed by the PHE dept was also inaugurated for the convenience of the villagers at Amrudisa.
Inauguration of water supply scheme under Jal Jeevan Mission 2020-21 at the cost of Rs 1.63 cr was inaugurated at Dihangi tiniali where in order to uplift art and culture he also inaugurated ‘Baikho’-community hall.
At Dihangi, inauguration of Veterinary Aid Center, Forest Quarter, Angling and River Rafting Guest house with Prasanna Nunisa Park nearby the campus and PWD guest house was also done.
Concluding the day’s programme a public meeting was organised at Dihangi bazaar where villagers from the neighbouring places attended inspite of rain. CEM Debolal Gorlosa also inaugurated Dihangi Bazar Approach Road, ‘Baikho’, Piped water supply scheme under JJM.
In yet another feat to their attempt of medical accessibility for people in rural areas, CEM Debolal Gorlosa in presence of Medical EM Samuel Changsan inaugurated Dihangi State Dispensary. For the convenience of those posted to the place a staff quarter has also been inaugurated.
Later addressing a gathering at Dihangi bazaar where a meeting was held, he called upon the people to value the assets which have been created for their villages. Appealing the crowd to keep the places clean and use them with utmost care, he urged, “The schemes under which various projects have been implemented in your villages are to benefit you all so kindly value them and avoid from destroying them, so that in future too we can keep on working for the welfare of our people in rural areas.”
Among those present along with CEM during the day long programme were executive members Samuel Changsan, Devojit Bathari, Amendu Hojai, Ngamrothang Hmar, Ratan Jarambusa, Lalremsiama Darnei, Nojit Kemprai, Projit Hojai, MAC Monjit Naiding, Nobojit Hojai, Joysing Durung apart from the respective departmental officials.
