Demow enjoys first day of 2023

DEMOW, Jan 1: The people of Demow and its surrounding areas went to the Kali Mandir, Radha Krishna Mandir in Demow and Shiva Mandir in Sivasagar on Sunday morning and prayed to God for blessings. On the first day of 2023, the people of Demow and its surrounding areas thronged to various picnic spots. On December 31, people of Demow were seen in the markets while buying groceries such as fish, meat. The locals of Demow arranged picnics on Saturday night to welcome the new year.
On Sunday, most of the business establishments of Demow remained closed. People went to picnic spots such as Dehingmukh, Desangmukh, etc to celebrate the beginning of the year.
