Dengue situation in Assam

DIPHU: The dengue scenario in Karbi Anglong remained grim with 86.75% of the infections in the hill district with an overall count of 551 in the state. As on Tuesday, the number of dengue cases in Karbi Anglong is 478 with three confirmed deaths here and another death in Dimapur, Nagaland.

As per the data on Tuesday, the numbers and the districts affected by dengue are Karbi Anglong  – 478, Kamrup Metro –  29, Hojai – 3, Kamrup- 3, Nalbari – 3, Sonitpur – 3, Tinsukia – 3, Bongaigaon – 2, Cachar – 2, Darrang – 2, Dhemaji – 2, Dibrugarh – 2, Dima Hasao – 2, Goalpara – 2, Karimganj – 2, Nagaon – 2, Sivsagar – 2, Baksa – 1, Biswanath – 1, Charaideo – 1, Golaghat – 1, Jorhat – 1, Lakhimpur – 1, Morigaon – 1, Udalguri – 1 and West Karbi Anglong – 1.
