Dept of MSW, MSSV signs MoU with BBCI

GUWAHATI, Dec 26: An memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on Monday between the department of Social Work, Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva Viswavidyalaya (MSSV) and Dr Bhubaneswar Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati for a Diploma in Palliative Social Work (1 year) and Physician’s Attendance Course (6 months).
The MoU was signed by Dr Amal Chandra Kataki, director, BBCI and Prof Mrinal Kr Borah, registrar of MSSV in presence of Prof Mridul Hazarika, vice chancellor, MSSV, deputy director (Academic), deputy director (Research), medical officer (Pain and Palliative Medicine), professors and officials, medical social workers of BBCI and Dr Deepshikha Carpenter, head (i/c) department of Social Work, MSSV.
For smooth functioning of the course, a committee was formed under the leadership of Professor Mridul Hazarika, vice chancellor of the university as chairman and Dr Amal Chandra Kataki, director of BBCI as co chairman.
