Dr Jiten Gohain Memorial Green Award presented to Nagaon’s Sankardev Higher Secondary School

NAGAON, Nov 19: Nagaon Kolongpar unit of Asom Vigyan Samiti, in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the historic Nowgong College (autonomous) presented ‘Dr Jiten Gohain Memorial Green Award 2022′ ceremonially to Sankardev Higher Secondary School, Ujaragaon, a leading educational institute of the district for maintaining greenery as well as clean atmosphere in and around the institution.
The award was presented to the institution head here at a function by Dr Nabakrishna Gohain, director of PK Gohain Memorial Nursing Home, Nagaon.
The programme was chaired by Dr Sarat Borkatoki, principal of Nowgong College (autonomous) while Dr Bhuban Chandra Chetia, coordinator to Internal Quality Assurance Cell anchored the entire session. Dr Lakshya Jyoti Borthakur, assistant professor, department of Chemistry elaborated a special note on nature and environment livelihood in the programme.
Janjaswar Rajkhuwa, secretary of Nagaon District High School Teachers’ Association delivered the vote of thanks.
Dr Parikshit Gogoi, professor and general secretary of Nagaon Kolongpar unit of Asom Vigyan Samiti, Dr Pallavi Goswami, associate professor and other hundreds of participants were present during the award presentation programme, a release added.
