DU student jumps from hostel building to rescue himself from ragging

DIBRUGARH, Nov 27: A student of Dibrugarh University, residing at PNGB Hostel has become a victim of alleged ragging by seniors in hostel.

According to reports, the victim jumped from two storied hostel building to rescue himself from ragging.

The incident took place in the hostel on Saturday night.

Critically injured Anand, was admitted in ICU at Aditya Hospital, Dibrugarh. According to sources, his family members are going to lodge an FIR against the culprits.

“We are enquiring the matter and are going to take strict action against the culprits,” said Dr Jiten Hazarika, vice chancellor, Dibrugarh University.

Earlier, many incidents of ragging has been reported from Dibrugarh University.
