Eminent Social Worker Passes Away

DEMOW, April 17: Dr Kamala Kanta Borgohain (80), an inhabitant of Moran Ukhapur an educationist, eminent litterateur and a social worker passed away at V G Hospital at Dibrugarh on Saturday morning.

Dr Kamala Kanta Borgohain was a retired HOD of education department at Dibrugarh University and was also a retired professor of Moran College Dr Kamala Kanta Borgohain was also the founder director of centre for journalism and mass communication at Dibrugarh University Dr Kamala Kanta Borgohain was associated in different social works of the area.

Borgohain was once the president of governing body of Moran College, former president of Moran Branch Xahitya Xabha.

Chakradhar Gogoi, Moran MLA condoled the demise of Borgohain and his condolence to the bereaved family. Lurin Jyoti Gogoi, AJP President also condoled the demise of Dr Kamala Kanta Borgohain and his condolence to the bereaved family. Borgohain left behind his wife, daughter and a host of relatives.
