EMs monitoring situation in Mukroh in West Karbi Anglong

DIPHU: In a press release, the East Karbi Anglong District Committee (EKADC) of the BJP said it is grateful to the chief executive member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council for monitoring the situation in Mukroh in West Karbi Anglong on the Assam-Meghalaya border.

The CEM has deputed executive members (EMs) of KAAC, Amar Sing Tisso and Ritesh Enghi to monitor the situation along the border. They also went to receive the body of the dead Home Guard Bidya Sing Lekthe who was killed in the skirmish between a mob and Assam Police and forest officials.

The release further stated that EMs Amar Sing Tisso, Ritesh Enghi, Kangbura Killing, office secretary of BJP, EKADC, Bidya Sing Engti; social worker Sarthe Kramsa and others attended the cremation of the deceased home guard as a mark of solidarity and respect from KAAC’s end.
