Felicitation prog organised at Sri Sathya Sai Sadhana Nilayam

GUWAHATI, Nov 9: A special felicitation programme followed by a musical evening was organised at Sri Sathya Sai Sadhana Nilayam, Jorpukhuri on Tuesday to felicitate renowned singer Pranati Khaund. The programme was organised in connection with the 97th birthday celebration of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
Pranati Khaund is an ardent devotee of Bhagawan Baba and has been actively associated with the Sri Sathya Sai organisation for many years.
The function was graced by Megha Nidhi Dahal, commissioner, GMC as the guest-of-honour, who happens to be a Bal Vikas alumnus and an ardent devotee of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
On the occasion, Dahal spoke about his long association with the organisation and how Bal Vikas education has helped him in his day-to-day life.
Dr Sammujjal Bhattacharya, advisor AASU and Bipul Rabha, vice-president, AASU also graced the occasion with their benign presence.
The function started with lighting of lamps at the Lotus Feet of Bhagawan Baba followed by Veda Stuti by Bal Vikas students and bhaktas.
The most attractive part of the evening was the spectacular bhajan rendition by Pranati Khaund and her daughter Sanjeeta Khaund, who kept the audience spellbound with their soulful rendition of bhajans and devotional songs.
The extravagant musical evening concluded with ‘mangala arati’ at the Lotus Feet of the Divine Lord by zonal president Satyen Sarma.
