Flagship scheme Arohan launched at Nagaon

NAGAON, Jan 5: The chief minister’s special scheme – ‘Arohan’ was ceremonially launched in Nagaon district here at a function held at the auditorium of Nowgong Govt Boys’ HS School on Wednesday as per the directive of state CM Himanta Biswa Sarma as well as New Education Policy 2020.
The deputy commissioner of Nagaon, Narendra Kr Shah inaugurated the scheme. The concerned officials of the scheme ‘Arohan’ have already shortlisted over 233 meritorious students studying in class 9 from government schools to appoint them as mentors in various schools so that they could guide the students’ fraternity in all aspects including career counselling. The programme was initiated by Samagra Shiksha, Assam in association with Nagaon district administration.
The additional deputy commissioner, Nagaon, Prasanta Boruah, inspector of schools, Nagaon and other officials from Samagra Shiksha, Assam were present in the programme, a release added.
