Foundation stone of agricultural development office laid in Sapkata

GOSSAIGAON, Nov 20: The central and the state government for greater agricultural development and the benefit of farmers, several beneficial schemes were implemented in a phased manner so that the farmers’ community can improve their economic condition by cultivating scientifically and also strengthen the economic condition of the country, said Jiron Basumatary, MLA 28 Gossaigaon LAC while laying the foundation stone of agricultural development office at Sapkata, under Gossaigaon sub-division on Saturday.
He said that the villagers of the greater Sapkata area and its adjoining villages will be able to get the opportunity to do farming scientifically, on the advice of the agricultural development office, and in this regard, the state, as well as the central government also were seen focusing on the agricultural sector positively.
The agricultural development office, which was sanctioned under the APART scheme will be constructed at a cost of Rs 39 lakh.
Basumatary urged the contractors not to indulge in any anomalies as this project has to meet the long-standing expectations of the farmers’ community.
In the programme, renewed social worker Hasen Ali, Najrul Islam Miya, president, Sapkata Bazar Samabay Samiti, vice president Mazibar Rahman, vice chairman Sapkata VCDC, Siddique Khan as well as the leaders of the UPPL party and local intellectuals were seen.
