SIVASAGAR, Nov 25: Thunderous applauses rocked the Sivasagar Yuva Dal Auditorium on Thursday night, when the students of Sivasagar Fuleswari Girls’ HS School brilliantly performed the Bir Lachit Borphukan play directed by Gunakar Deva Goswami and Prasanat Sarma-two prominent directors of the state on stage.
The wonderful blending of light, music, sound, acting skill, and technique created a surreal atmosphere bringing alive the scenes of the famous battle at Saraighat. It was a total composite production of all elements of modern stage performance produced by the students and the team after a fortnight’s rigorous rehearsal.
Noted stage personality Dr Dilip Baruah inaugurated the cultural evening. ADC, Sivasagar Bitupon Neog, president, Zilla Parishad Aswini Kumar Doley, felicitated the artists in presence of the principal Pronob Baruah and other guests and the technicians on behalf of Sivasagar district administration.
