Gaon Pradhans trained on role to be played in Mission Basundhara 2.0

JORHAT, Nov 11: The Jorhat district administration on Friday organised a day-long training programme for Gaon Pradhans, who were earlier known as Gaon Burhas, of the district at the Jorhat Theatre Hall.
A district administration official stated that the training was on how to assist the administration by the Gaon Pradhans during the Mission Basundhara 2.0 of the government to be launched soon state-wide to provide online land related services to people by the Revenue department.
The official said that 296, which included old and newly-appointed, Gaon Pradhans from five Revenue Circles of the district, were given training on their role in assisting the administration for speedy delivery of the services to be offered to the applicants and also on the Gaon Pradhans duties and responsibilities to be discharged under the post.
Senior district administration officials including additional deputy commissioner (Revenue) Satyajit Chetia were among the officials present on the occasion.
