MARGHERITA, July 26: Surabhi Baruah, a Magh Baruah Buddhist Community student of Delhi Public School (DPS) Digboi have brought laurel by securing distinction marks in all the subjects with 95.6% marks in class 10 CBSE board examination which was declared on Friday.
Surabhi Baruah is the daughter of Moloy Baruah and Bibha Baruah, a resident of Number 1 Golai, under Digboi police station of Tinsukia district.
Surabhi Baruah obtained 99 marks in Social Science, 98 marks in Science, 98 marks in English, 93 marks in Mathematics and 90 marks in Hindi.
On Tuesday, Samanmay Social Welfare Youth Organisation president Lakhi Kanta Borah and vice president Biju Kalita; Margherita Journalists Association treasurer Mithun Baruah; Federation of Barua Buddhist Welfare Association of Assam (FBBWAA) chairman Subash Barua; secretary general Sibu Talukdar, Magh Barua Buddhist Organisation of Assam felicitated Surabhi Baruah with a traditional Assamese gamosa, a citation, statue of Lord Buddha and a token of small gift.
Surabhi Baruah shall join Arts stream at Delhi Public School, Digboi and aims to clear Assam Public Service Commission examination.
