SIVASAGAR, Sept 6: The results of the Gunotsav 2022 was declared by the State Education department on Monday. Out of the 33 districts, Sivasagar district was ranked first as 52.77 percent of the schools in the district are in A+ category followed by Majuli in second position with 27.5 percent of schools receiving A+ and Nalbari district in third position with 20.70 percent of schools receiving A+ grade.
Earlier, the district achieved the top slot in 2017 and 2018.
In Sivasagar district, 7210 students from 1120 schools were assessed in Gunotsav 2022, out of which 591 schools got an A+. 450 schools were in the A category, 68 schools were in the B category, 7 in C, and 4 in the D category.
In the district, 16,410 students appeared for the assessment from Amguri Block, 22,944 students from Demow Block, 11,393 students were from Sivasagar Block and 21,908 students were from Nazira Block.
A total of 1,327 external evaluators took part in the assessment in 995 primary schools, 179 middle schools, and 153 high and higher secondary schools in the district.
The inspector of schools Kamaljyoti Gogoi who was in charge of the DEE expressed sincere thanks to the devoted teachers for making it possible for the third consecutive time. He said that the result reflects the collective effort of all the stakeholders- teachers, students, school administration, and guardians.
