DIPHU, Nov 30: Sand Mahalders & Suppliers Association (SMSA), Manja, clarifying about the news item which appeared in a Nagaland based newspaper of November 30 issue said that the SMSA has not fixed the rate of sand at Rs 7000 for 600 cft nor Rs 13,0000 for 400 cft as stated by SSSUD, SSSUC and ASSTOA in their release to the newspapers. The SSSUD, SSSUC and ASSTOA are sand associations of Dimapur.
The SMSA further stated in their press statement that they never discussed with the above sand association of Dimapur regarding fixing of sand rates. The SMSA wants to remind the concerned associations of the agreement made during their joint meeting on October 5 at Siloni Guest House. The current sand rate is Rs 65 per cft which is negotiable. The rate as claimed by SSSUD, SSSUC and ASSTOA is baseless and is misleading the public of Nagaland.
