High mast Tricolour flag inaugurated at Margherita

MARGHERITA, May 16: 
A permanent high mast Tri-colour flag was hoisted on Monday evening, at the premises of PWD office in the heart of Margherita town.
During the time of inauguration, Union minister of state for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Labour and Employment, Rameswar Teli, Margherita MLA Bhaskar, Digboi MLA Suren Phukan and many distinguished and resource persons were present.
Rameswar Teli said that the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) have spent over Rs 12 lakh on the construction of permanent high mast Tri-colour flag and have written to Margherita Municipal Board to maintain it.
At New Delhi, there is a permanent high mast Tri-colour flag. I represent a total of 9 Legislative Assembly constituencies and I have decided to construct a permanent high mast tri-colour flag in each constituency and on Monday, 124 no Margherita constituencies got their permanent high mast Tri-colour flag, said Rameswar Teli.
