HOJAI, Aug 9: Hojai district unit of Assam Chamber of Commerce, Hojai is all set to celebrate the 75th Independence Day in befitting manner with a three-day long programme. To organise the programme smoothly, an executive meeting of ACC was held at Hojai on Monday evening, where all the members unanimously decided that the Hojai district unit of Assam Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the Independence Day with enthusiasm and fervour. Informing this correspondent on Tuesday, Ashok Kejariwal, general secretary, ACC Hojai district said, “On August 13, ACC will host two big size national flag in front of Balaji Point and Bhimsaria Road in Hojai town, followed with hosting of the flags in road divider area from Jamuna Irrigation Canal to Dimarupar, signboard with decoration will be erected in front of the irrigation canal and municipal board, Shahid Bedi at Natun Bazar Panch Ali will be decorated for the celebration. Fruits will be distributed among the patients at the civil hospital.”
“Along with this scheduled programme, many other activities will be organised,” he added. The executive meeting was presided over by Gopal Das, president of ACC Hojai district in presence of Chaturthi Rani Biswas, chairperson, Hojai Municipal Board and Chandan Borgohain, circle officer, Hojai Revenue Circle. Tusar Das, Shyam Saha, Mukundo Bora, Abdul Zabbar, Krishno Das, Naresh Agarwal, Anil Bhimsaria and many other members of Hojai district unit of Assam Chamber of Commerce were also present.
