DIPHU, June 7: Karbi Anglong district secured an overall 49.92 pass percentage, while West Karbi Anglong managed 42.71 pass percentage in the High School Leaving Certificate (HLSC) examination 2022, the results of which were declared across the state on Tuesday.
Out of the total 10,201 candidates, who appeared for the examination in Karbi Anglong district, 1026 secured first position, 2,247 second position and 1,819 came third. The total number of passing students stood at 5,092.
While in West Karbi Anglong, the total appeared was 5,085, out of which 458 secured first division, 1,015 second position and 699 third position. The total of passed students stood at 2,172.
In the all Assam ranking top ten list, Mridupawan Kalita, a student of Don Bosco School, Kheroni, West Karbi Anglong, is one among the three students securing the third position. Mridupawan secured a total of 595 marks. He is the son of Tarun Ch. Kalita and Mira Baruah.
The other two students who shared the same position were Labeeb Muzib of Don Bosco HS School, Boiragimath and Partha Pratim Das of Lohit Dikrong HS School, Bihpuria.
The Modern English High School, 2 km Lumding Road, Diphu, where out of 35 students appeared, 31 have passed. 9 in the first division and 20 in the second division. One with distinction and 1 secured star marks.
This year, Dhemaji district stood in first position with a pass percentage of 85.46%, while Dima Hasao district stood in second position with 81.31%.
