IGF, SSB Guwahati attends Special Sainik Sammelan in Gossaigaon

GOSSAIGAON, July 13: Sudhir Verma, Inspector General of Frontier, SSB Guwahati paid a familiarization visit at the 31st Battalion of SSB, Gossaigaon, demonstrating the ongoing commitment to attain operational excellence and ensure the well-being of the SSB personnel within the 31st Bn. SSB, Gossaigaon recently.

Verma, inaugurated a fitness park on the premises of 31 Bn SSB Gossaigaon and interacted with the officers and officials of the 31 Battalion SSB followed by Special Sainik Sammelan Verma, had dwelt at length at the various critical aspects of their operations, focusing on the challenges and achievements of the battalion and emphasized the importance of the roles and responsibilities of the SSB ensuring the highest standards of performance and security.

Verma, also undertook a thorough review of the area of responsibility assigned to the 31 Battalion. This review included assessing the current security measures, operational readiness, and logistical arrangements in place. Verma’s visit provided an opportunity to highlight operational concerns and re-align strategies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the SSB’s mission in the region.

Verma, commended the officers and officials for their dedication at the India-Bhutan border uniting efforts to ensure the security and sanctity of the border areas. He acknowledged the challenges faced by the battalion and expressed his confidence in their ability to overcome these challenges through teamwork, vigilance, and commitment to duty.
