Induction programme for KKHSOU learners held at Kakojan College

JORHAT, Dec 9: An induction programme for newly admitted learners of Kakojan College Study Centre in Jorhat district, under Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) was held in the college Digital Conference Room on Thursday.
The programme was anchored by Prof Tufail Zilani, co-ordinator of the study centre. Dr Ruprekha Bordoloi, principal and centre in-charge of the college delivered the welcome address and Dr Bijoy Lakhmi Neog, vice principal and former co-ordinator addressed the learners about the distance education system. Senior professor Dr Khirod Saikia, assistant coordinator Prof Lakhya Protim Normolia, system officer Prof Pallab Pran Bora, librarian Parishmita Hazarika, Ratul Boruah also attended the programme.
Coordinator Prof Zilani presented and explained different rules and guidelines of the KKHSOU learning process with powerpoint. Altogether 234 learners were admitted in the session 2022-23. From its academic inception in 2008 of KKHSOU, Kakojan College has been continuing the KKHSOU Study Centre. Now PG courses in Assamese, Economics, Education, English, Political Science, Sociology and undergraduate courses of BA in major and pass course and BCA are available in the centre.
The diploma courses in Library and Information Science, Journalism and certificate courses in Tea Cultivation are also offered.
The learners cleared their queries in an interactive session with the co-ordinator.
