Jal Jeevan Mission inspection held

DIPHU: Executive member (EM), Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Transport and Food & Civil Supplies, Bilimohan Khaklary inspected the ongoing schemes of Jal Jeevan Mission at Uttar Borbil, Silpukuri and Podum Pukhuri under Langhin Member of Autonomous Council (MAC) constituency on Monday. He was accompanied by chairman, VDC, Langhing, Birsing Timung along with other PHE officials. He asked the PHE officials to speed up the work so that villagers can get the piped water facility at the earliest. The EM also went to inspect the Pradhan Mantri Gramodaya Yojana (PM-GY) housing scheme for rural people at Kalibari under the same MAC constituency. The PM-GY scheme is implemented by Howraghat Development Block. The EM informed that there are more than 100 PM-GY beneficiaries in the area and they are very happy as no contractor is involved in the construction of their houses. The EM asked the beneficiaries to use the amount properly for the construction of the houses.
