Jirsong Asong and NEDSSS organises health camp

DONGKAMUKAM, May 16: A village level health camp was organised by Jirsong Asong and NEDSSS Guwahati at Satgaon Don Bosco HS Dispensary, West Karbi Anglong.

In the program eye check-up, vaccination, etc., was held free of cost. The physician who did the check-up includes Dr Sukanta Roy (Eye specialist), Dr Oriwel Kramsa (Ayur) SDMO, Dr Joyson Singnar (Ayur) MO, Dr Lipson Timung (Ayur) MO and their staff.

807 patients took eye checkups, and 8 have registered for vaccination till the evening.

Rev Fr Thankachen of the NGO said that they have been giving services for many years, particularly for the rural patients and will continue to do so in future as well” he told.

Elderly persons were recommended to undergo eye operation for cataract at Netralaya, Guwahati at the payment of rupees two thousand only per person, however one has to travel at their own expenses.
