Jorhat Sadar Qazi passes away

JORHAT, Oct 28: Syed Sayeedur Rahman (popularly known as Nice Sir), a retired teacher of Baligaon Jagannath Baruah Arya Vidyalaya on the outskirts here, who was also the Jorhat Sadar Qazi, on Thursday breathed his last at the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital due to old-age ailments.
Rahman, a resident of Raja Howly, Baligaon , here was a known practitioner of traditional medicine. He leaves behind his wife, a son, two daughters and a host of relatives. Rahman was associated with several social and religious organisations.
His demise was widely mourned here.
