The initiative comes amid growing concern over the declining number of successful candidates from the region in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. This year, only three candidates from the region qualified for the prestigious examination, compared to seven qualifiers in the previous year.

Motivated by the vision and encouragement of Cabinet Minister Rameswar Teli, who holds the portfolios of Tea Tribes Welfare, Labour Welfare and Employment, the Foundation has undertaken this educational initiative with the objective of inspiring students to pursue higher achievements and competitive examinations.

As part of the agreement, the Foundation has created a dedicated corpus fund for the awards programme. A cheque of Rs 2 lakh was formally handed over to Dibru College Principal Dr Ranjan Changmai and Vice Principal Dr Aditi Baruah in the presence of Minister Rameswar Teli at Duliajan on Wednesday.

The Foundation stated that the partnership represents another important milestone in its commitment to promoting education, rewarding merit and fostering a culture of excellence among students.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives of the Foundation expressed hope that the perpetual awards and citations would motivate countless students to strive for academic distinction and contribute meaningfully to society through their future achievements.

The initiative is expected to strengthen the educational ecosystem of the region and encourage more young minds to aspire towards competitive examinations, including the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
