DIPHU, Sept 4: The 21st Executive Committee meeting of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) was held on September 3 under the chairmanship of Chief Executive Member (CEM) Tuliram Ronghang at the council’s conference hall in the Old Secretariat Building here.
The session was convened to take stock of ongoing projects and deliberate on future initiatives aimed at accelerating socio-economic growth in Karbi Anglong.
The meeting reviewed the status of development works across key sectors including infrastructure, road connectivity, education, health services and implementation of welfare schemes.
Detailed discussions were held on ensuring that projects taken up under both state and central government schemes are executed in a time-bound manner.
CEM Ronghang underscored the need for transparency and accountability in carrying out government programmes.
He instructed all concerned departments to expedite the completion of pending works and stressed that timely delivery of projects is essential to bring visible benefits to the people of the district.
Senior Executive Members, Members of the Autonomous Council and departmental heads participated in the session.
They offered their views and suggestions for preparing a more people-centric action plan to address developmental priorities in the coming months.
The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to strengthen the council’s governance framework and to continue working with dedication towards the welfare and upliftment of the people of Karbi Anglong.
