Karbi Anglong Presbyterian Church Synod Conference concludes

DIPHU, April 8: The 9th Karbi Anglong Presbyterian Church Synod (KAPCS) conference, which began on April 4 (Thursday) at the Presbyterian Church Puralangso in Dima Hasao district, concluded on Sunday. The theme of the conference was ‘Good foundation of the Church’, based on Matthew 16:18.

At the 10 am public worship service, led by Synod Moderator Rev Primingson Millick, the congregation and guests were welcomed, followed by Bible reading and prayer conducted by elder Roland Engti of Putsari Pastorate.

Fraternal delegates from Mizoram Synod, Khasi Jaintia Presbyterian Synod Mehngi, Manipur Synod, and the General Assembly Presbyterian Church of India, administrative secretary Rev ST Kaia, offered their greetings.

Speaking on the theme, speaker Rev JF Lalropuia of Manipur Synod preached about the importance of truth and being faithful soldiers of Christ. He emphasised the necessity of prayer, stating, “One has to make a habit of praying and never cease prayer in times of trouble and worry. This would build a relationship with Christ, and if Christ is at the center, miracles will happen.”

Later, at 2 pm, a Holy Communion service was held, administered by Synod moderator Rev Primingson Millick. The conference was enriched by beautiful choir performances from Mothade, Umkhermi, Dongkamukam Pastorates, and the Synod choir.

Furthermore, a new Gospel video album of the Karbi Anglong Synod Choir, Volume-3, was released during the conference by Synod moderator Rev Millick. The 10th KAPCS conference will be held at Hamren in West Karbi Anglong district.

The conference was attended by Baithalagso MLA, Rupsing Teron, local member of the Autonomous Council of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council of Garampani constituency, Samsing Engti, and various dignitaries.
