DIPHU, Nov 20: Customary Karbi King Ramsing Ronghang, referred to as Lindokpo has taken ill and is under treatment at Diphu Medical College & Hospital (DMCH).
His son Rupson Ronghang said that his father Ramsing was initially treated at Hamren Civil Hospital and was better and went back to his seat. On reaching home, his illness recurred and was brought to DMCH.
The Karbi King is suffering from a liver ailment and the doctors have advised transferring him to Guwahati for surgery.
As per the direction of the chief executive member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang, the executive member (EM), KAAC, Richard Tokbi and member of autonomous council, Johnny Timung visited DMC&H to enquire about the health of Karbi King Ramsing Ronghang.
Spokesperson of All Party Hills Leaders Conference, Angong Engti Kathar have also visited the customary Karbi king.
