Keshab Mahanta reviews progress of Super Speciality Hospital in Silchar

SILCHAR, Nov 28: State Health minister Keshab Mahanta reviewed the progress of the Super Speciality Hospital, which is under construction at Silchar Medical College and Cancer Hospital of Assam Cancer Care Foundation.
Minister Mahanta went straight to Silchar Medical College Hospital from the airport on Sunday. Medical Education director Dr Anup Kumar Barman, deputy commissioner, Rohan Kumar Jha and other senior officials were also present.
The Health minister inspected the progress of the work on the ground and asked the concerned officials to expedite the work and provide detailed reports. The principal of the Medical College, Dr Babul Bezbaruah and superintendent were also present on the occasion.
Later, minister Mahanta met various officers and officials of the Health department of Cachar district including the principal, superintendent of SMC&H.
Dr Ashutosh Barman, joint director of Health and the DPM, NHM, Rahul Ghosh were also present on the occasion.
