GUWAHATI, Nov 14: Delhi Public School, Khanapara organised Autumn Fiesta – Taksh 2022 – a cultural and sports extravaganza from Saturday to Monday.
Celebrating diversity, the fiesta aspired to bring promising players, dancers, singers, actors and painters under one umbrella to give the participants an exposure to their ingenuity, sportsmanship and collaborative spirit. From solo song, shlokochcharan (shloka chanting), solo dance and group dance to art, quiz, nukkad natak, swimming and table tennis, the fiesta had an array of activities and competitions which were diverse and wide-ranging.
30 schools participated in various events and the students showcased their talents.
The carnival saw popular city outlets like J14, Café Bellevue, Fat Belly, etc., putting up their kiosks. The youngsters were seen thronging to the game stalls with great enthusiasm and fervour. A fashion show for the students of KG to Class 4 was also organised where the kids walked the ramp along with their parents.
A three-day book fair in collaboration with Scholastic was also held simultaneously which offered a good collection to the book lovers. The mega attraction was horse riding.
The fiesta concluded with the celebration of Children’s Day.
