GUWAHATI, Nov 8: Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University extended its admission schedule up to November 15, 2022 after witnessing increase in enrolment in the last few days. The university has decided to accommodate more learners in the current academic session considering the educational aspirations among all the members of the society, particularly the marginalised and disadvantaged.
KKHSOU is guided by the motto – ‘Education Beyond Barriers’ which acts as a driving force for designing all of its academic programs including different degree, diploma and certificate programmes. KKHSOU’s decision of extending the admission deadline is also a reflection of its consideration of the financial and geographical disparities of the prospective learners to get themselves enrolled in its academic programmes.
It is pertinent to note that the vice chancellor of the university, Prof Rajendra Prasad Das recently held a series of discussions with the in-charges of various study centres of the university located in different parts of the state to devise appropriate mechanisms for addressing issues faced by the learners in open and distance mode of delivering education.
VC Prof Das also urged the members of the academic community of the university to design skill-based programmes in the line of the vision reflected in the New Education Policy 2022.
