Koklabari by poll: Four file nomination papers

KOKRAJHAR, May 24: A total of four candidates from different parties including ruling UPPL party candidate Mantu Boro filed their nomination papers for the No 22 Koklabari constituency by poll scheduled on June 8, before the returning officer at Mushalpur in Baksa district on Monday.
UPPL-BJP-GSP-AGP alliance party’s candidate for Koklabari constituency Mantu Boro filed his nomination paper on Monday at the DC’s office in Baksa district and was accompanied by UPPL working president and Rajya Sabha MP Rwngwra Narzary, BTR CEM Pramod Boro, Assam Cabinet minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma, Bhawanipur MLA Phanidhar Talukdar, BTR executive member and GSP leader Ghanashyam Das and UPPL general secretary Raju Narzary.
The other candidates who have filed their nomination papers include Shangkhar Basumatary (BPF), Biren Sarania and Lava Basumatary (Independent candidates).
UPPL president Pramod Boro, who is also the BTR CEM said that UPPL-BJP-GSP-AGP alliance party’s candidate will be having the last laugh from the Koklabari constituency by poll by a huge margin of votes as voters are waiting to vote in favour of UPPL-BJP-GSP-AGP alliance candidate.
Bhawanipur MLA Phanidhar Talukdar claimed that UPPL led UPPL-BJP-GSP-AGP alliance party’s candidate is winning the Koklabari bye poll as common masses are franchising their votes in favour of Mantu Boro to get massive development and welfare in the society.
He informed that the BTR government and the state government are working dedicatedly towards the welfare and uplift as well integration of the region since its inception.
