Lad touring country on bicycle spreads message of peace

MARGHERITA, Dec 19: Adhiraj Barua, a resident of Jamshedpur, Jharkhand is touring the country on his bicycle spreading the message of Lord Buddha, world peace, national integration, and stopping forced child marriage. Barua started cycling from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand on October 1 last, and he reached the historic town of Margherita in Assam on December 19.
He said this ‘All India Tour’ on bicycle was his aim and passion. He added that he plans to cover a distance of 22000 km in an estimated time of 1 year and 6 months. Notably, his father Alok Ranjan Barua also did a similar bicycle tour in the year 1987 from Jharkhand.
Federation of Barua Buddhist Welfare Association of Assam, secretary general Sibu Talukdar said, “We are proud of his dedication and patriotism for our country. We extend all our support and good wishes to Adhiraj Barua who is spreading the message of Lord Buddha of world peace, brotherhood, peace, and harmony, through his humble endeavour.”
