Land patta distribution ceremony held

MARGHERITA, Feb 29: A ceremonial land patta distribution program was organised on Thursday at North Margherita Rangamanch, Margherita under 83-Margherita LAC in Tinsukia district. A total of 4059 land pattas were distributed to eligible beneficiaries of Mission Basundhara 2.0.

Leena Pawe, ADC(Revenue) Tinsukia, welcomed the dignitaries, and Swapneel Paul, deputy commissioner of Tinsukia district, informed the beneficiaries about the DigiLocker facility, where the electronic copy of the land document can be stored and accessed from any device with the help of the internet.

Sanjoy Kisan, state minister of Tea Tribes Welfare & Labour Welfare Department, graced the occasion and pointed out the drastic positive change that the society is going through during the present regime of the government. He highlighted that land patta is a vital document, and citizens with land documents, specifically the agriculturalists, can reap benefits of many government schemes. Minister Kishan also praised the government officials for their relentless efforts in the completion of Mission Basundhara 2.0 and expressed hope that the recently launched Mission Basundhara 3.0 will fulfill many aspirations of the indigenous community in the near future.

The ceremony was also attended by Parikshit Thoudam (IAS), SDO(Civil), various government officials, media, and the general public.

Our Nagaon correspondent adds: Local MLA Rupak Sarma ceremonially launched the distribution of land pattas among the beneficiaries of Nagaon-Batadroba assembly constituency under the Mission Basundhara 2.0 scheme initiated by the state government on Thursday. The event took place at a meeting held at the Nagaon district library auditorium.

Sarma distributed land pattas under the scheme among ten beneficiaries on Thursday. It is pertinent to mention that a total of 119 beneficiaries have been selected in the Nagaon-Batadroba delimited legislative assembly constituency.

Manuroma Morang, additional district commissioner, Nagaon, delivered the welcome address. Ambika Mazumder, chairman of Nagaon Municipality Board, Ishan K Singh, circle officer, Nagaon, Dhruba Jyoti Sharma, chairman of District Development Authority, Nagaon, Silpirekha Pandit, assistant commissioner, and other officials from the district administration participated in the distribution ceremony on Thursday, an official press note stated here.
