Lawn ball player Tania Choudhury feted

TEZPUR, Oct 13: Deputy commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra felicitated Tania Choudhury, a lawn ball player from Assam on Thursday. She won a Gold medal in the doubles event in the recently concluded 36th National Games held in Gujarat.
She has joined as assistant engineer in PWRD, Tezpur, Sootea and Rangapara Territorial Roads division and the Sonitpur district administration accorded her warm welcome to the district.
It may be noted that this was her third time in National Games, previously she also won medals in the National Games 2011 and 2015 as well. She has also represented the country in the CWG 2022 and several international sporting events.
She was also felicitated by EE, PWRD, Ajit Medhi and DSO Khanindra Mudoi on the sidelines of the District Development Committee meeting for the month of October 2022 which was held at the Rural Roads Network Monitoring Unit office, under PWRD, Government of Assam.
