GUWAHATI, Sept 14: LGBI Airport has received the ISO certification following an extensive assessment of the airport’s quality management system, operational management and development of the airport.
ISO 45001: 2018 and ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015 are globally recognised certification for occupational health and safety management, environment management system and quality management system respectively under the scope of operation, management and development of airports.
Achieving these certifications affirms LGBI Airport’s ongoing commitment to implement industrial best practice to manage the airport quality, environment and enhance occupational health and safety.
The ceremony was held in presence of chief airport officer Utpal Baruah, regional director (AAI) Sanmukh Jugani, deputy director of BCAS & commandant of CISF.
During the official handover ceremony at LGBI Airport, Utpal Baruah said, “We are proud to achieve the esteemed ISO IMS certification. It reflects that our team has ensured that our quality management system, environmental management system and occupational health and safety management are reliable and also happy to meet the industrial standard and best practice.”
He also congratulated the entire team for their collective efforts.
