NAGAON, Oct 9: Lions Club, Nagaon in association with Lions Club Eye Hospital, Guwahati and Keliden Polypack Centre organised an eye checkup camp at Keliden tea estate hospital near Misa on Sunday.
During the camp, over 200 patients checked up their eyes as well as high blood pressure and diabetes. Three eye specialists conducted the eye test while three more physicians from Gohain Nursing Home, Nagaon conducted the test of high blood pressure as well as diabetes.
Physicians from Lions Club Eye Hospital, Guwahati – Dr Debeswar Pathak, Dr Mamoni Devi and Dr Pranjit Das and Dr Bhabesh Sarma participated in the camp. Besides, Malchand Agarwal and Saranga Ballabh Goswami – the president and secretary of Nagaon Lions Club and other club members like Biswajit Mahanta, Gurusaran Singh, Pavan Bora, Hemanta Bordoloi, etc., were present during the camp, a release added.
In the press note, it is stated that those patients who have been detected with cataract, will be sent categorically to Lions Club Eye Hospital, Guwahati for free cataract surgery soon.
