Man Deceased In West Karbi Anglong

DONGKAMUKAM/ KHERONI: A man died in West Karbi Anglong after allegedly drinking an energy drink under Kheroni police station. Family members said the deceased Anthony Ronghang (25), a resident of Torte Apam, and his friend Ablison Terang went out in the morning to work when, on the way, they decided to have a popular energy drink, Sting, from a shop in Check Artu village. They bought a bottle and shared it. Almost immediately after drinking it, Anthony Ronghang fell down, but nothing happened to his friend Terang. He was taken in an autorickshaw to Kheroni Model Hospital, but he died on the way. The owner of the shop, Bidaram Enghee, said that he got the batch of Sting energy drink from Jengkha Market in West Karbi Anglong, and it is not expired. At the time of this report, the dead body was still in Kheroni Model Hospital.
