Margherita police apprehends 5 notorious drug peddlers

MARGHERITA, Feb 14: Margherita police, on Monday, apprehended 5 drug peddlers from various places of Margherita town under Tinsukia district.
Pratap Gogoi, officer-in-charge of Margherita police station said, “Acting on a tip off, on Monday morning hours, we have apprehended 5 notorious drug peddlers – Cheng Singpho (31) of 1 number Dibong Margherita, Kunal Sarkar (32) son of Prabhat Sarkar resident of 4 number Makum Pathar Margherita, Nagham Harap (18), Chinmik Shin (34) and Panwang Harap (16) all 3 hails from Fhunchar of Changlang district Arunachal Pradesh.”
“We have found 64.45 gram drugs, cash amount of Rs 42,300 and a Bajaj Pulsar Bike bearing registration number AS 23 X 0189 where a case have been registered under NDPS Act at Margherita police station and all the apprehended 5 notorious drug peddlers have been sent to judicial custody,” said Pratap Gogoi officer-in-charge of Margherita police station.
