Millitant arrested in Jorhat

JORHAT, April 28: Ningthaujam Gyan Singh (44 yrs), a resident of Kanto Premnagar, Engrourok Chingmang, Manripukhri under Sekmai police station, West Imphal district, (Manipur) was arrested by police here on charges of being a member of a militant outfit of Manipur.

A police official stated that acting on specific information.

Singh, who is a member of Kangleipak Communist Party, Manipur was arrested from the house of a resident of Tillikiam under Pulibar police station on the outskirts here.

Further investigation in the case is underway.
