MORIGAON, Aug 18: State minister for Public Health Engineering, Tourism, Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Jayanta Malla Barua visited Morigaon on Thursday and reviewed the progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) under Public Health Engineering (PHE), Morigaon at DC’s conference hall. The minister reviewed the progress of JJM in the district in presence of MLA Ramakanta Deuri and deputy commissioner Prakash Ranjan Gharphalia (IAS). He asked the PHE department to complete the JJM connection within the stipulated time fixed by the Central Government. The minister asked the PHE department to ensure that each household, school and AWC are able to avail the JJM connection. He also met the contractors of JJM and asked them to solve the bottleneck faced by the beneficiaries of the project. In connection with the skill development, the minister said that he has asked the principal of ITI to prepare a specific module on skill so that the unemployed youths can be trained. The minister visited Morigaon for the first time after taking charge as the cabinet minister.
