Muhammad Sirajuddin Ajmal To Organise Essay Competition

HOJAI, Aug 17:
 A state level essay competition under the noble initiative of Muhammad Sirajuddin Ajmal, MLA, Jamunamukh on the completion of 75 years of India’s Independence marking Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav will be held, a press release stated here on Wednesday.

As per the release, the topic of the All-Assam Essay Competition is ‘Role of Muslims in the Freedom Struggle of India’ and the prize money for the first prize is Rs 75,000, second prize is Rs 50,000 and third prize is Rs 25,000 and ten chosen essays will receive a consolation prize of Rs 10,000 each.

According to the release, students of university, colleges and madrassas can only participate in this competition, the essay of the given topic is to be composed in 2500 words in English, Assamese, Urdu or Hindi language. The participant has to mention their name, guardian name, institution name, contact number and address while submitting their essay or else the participant will be disqualified from the competition. The release adds that the words and contents of the essay have to be clear enough to read and understand. Typed/DTP contents would be preferred.

The essays received after the stipulated date will not be entertained. The winner must submit his/her authentic institutional ID card/ proof at the time of receiving the prize money. Last date of submission is October 2. The participants can send the soft copies of their essay to competitionmmh@gmail.com or  essaycompetitionmsa@gmail.com and the hard copies to the head office of Markazul Ma’arif, Address: Markaz Road, Madani Nagar, Hojai, Assam 782435.

The release further adds that the results will be declared after October 31 and will be published in the newspapers/periodicals/social media.
