Narendra Modi , Himanta Biswa Sarma condemn attack on Donald Trump

NEW DELHI/GUWAHATI, July 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday expressed deep concern over the attack on former US president Donald Trump, and said violence has no place in politics and democracies.

Modi said on X, “Deeply concerned by the attack on my friend, former President Donald Trump. Strongly condemn the incident. Violence has no place in politics and democracies. Wish him a speedy recovery.”

Meanwhile, expressing his support to Trump, the Assam Chief Minister said right-wing leaders across the globe were being targeted by the radical left.

“My best wishes to Donald Trump as he stands strong. #StandWithTrump #NationFirst,” the CM said. (PTI)
