GUWAHATI, Sept 9: 10th anniversary special edition of ‘POHOR 2022’ (both print and digital edition), the national level photography exhibition and competition – the flagship event of Photography Club of Assam (PCA) was inaugurated by Dr. Dhruba Jyoti Borah, a noted writer and presently the vice chancellor of Srimanta Sankardeva University of Health Sciences in Gauhati Artists’ Guild on Thursday.
Well known photographers like Bidyasagar Baruah, chairperson, PCA, Sanjib Gohain Boruah, chief advisor, PCA were also present in the grand opening of the event along with Hridoyranjan Das, joint director, Tourism, Kishore Das, secretary. With its prime motto to protect, promote & preserve, PCA’s POHOR-2022 saw more than 950 photographers from across the country and abroad participating in the four-day event.
Notably, Photography Club of Assam, popularly known as PCA, is the home for photographers across boundaries. Founded on April 8, 2012 at Dibrugarh, it has now emerged as one of the country’s finest photographic organisations.
The organisers have urged people to visit the exhibition whose mission is to bring a photography revolution in the lives of the people of Assam. The exhibition will continue till September 11, 2022 at the gallery of Gauhati Artist Guild, Chandmari, Guwahati.
