NCPCR complaint resolution camp held

DALGAON, Dec 8: The National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) held a meeting at the District Library Hall on Thursday. The meeting was held to receive and resolve complaints and objections related to child labour, child abuse, begging and other violations of child rights. Deputy commissioner Pranab Kumar Sharma welcomed the members of the National Child Protection Commission and said that the district administration will take all the recommendations of the National Child Protection Commission seriously and take measures to resolve them through various departments. While the Assam State Child Rights Protection Commission chairperson Dr Sunita Chankakati said that the commission has collected and resolved various grievances of children through the administration in various districts especially in backward districts. Explaining the purpose of the meeting ADC Pallavi Kachari said that 893 objections of various children have been registered and most of the objections have been resolved on the spot.
National Child Rights Protection Commission member secretaries Rupali Banerjee Singh, Chayestha K Sah, Anjali Gandhi, DEO Sushil Kumar and Assam State Child Protection Commission member Phanindra Kumar Bezbarua, Darrang SP Prasanta Saikia were also present in the event.
Notably, several stalls of the Health department, banks, Labour department, Aadhaar registration, Nutrition Mission, District Child Protection Group, etc., were set up for immediate resolution of children’s grievances.
