Nes Jorabat marks 18th anniversary with grand relaunch event

GUWAHATI, March 18: M/s Nes Jorabat, a flagship retail outlet of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), celebrated its 18th anniversary in grand style on Sunday. The event was graced by esteemed guests including Zubeen Garg, renowned singer & pride of Assam, and A L Hek, minister of Government of Meghalaya, among others.

The occasion marked the unveiling of Nes Jorabat’s revamped look and extended facilities, including a dedicated section to serve small vehicles such as SUVs, and Sedans, with plans for future installation of CNG facilities.

Highlighting the significance of the milestone, the Meghalaya minister reminisced about the outlet’s inception 18 years ago and applauded the employment opportunities it has provided to over 150 local attendants, especially Khasi girls.

Debashis Naik, head Retail East BPCL, emphasised the enhanced convenience for commuters along with recent additions like EV charging facilities and the launch of the ‘Double Dhamaka Scheme’, offering instant gifts and lottery opportunities to customers.

B J Phukan, MD NRL, praised BPCL’s efforts in maintaining Nes Jorabat’s position as the highest-selling retail outlet, commending the world-class extension and improvements made.

Indranil Banerjee, territory manager Shillong, highlighted Nes Jorabat’s status as BPCL’s premier outlet, offering a unique experience to patrons.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was conducted by Zubeen Garg, A L Hek, and Debashis Naik, in the presence of BPCL officials and local dignitaries, including the village headman and executive committee members.

Jain, a veteran with 40 years in the petroleum industry, expressed pride in elevating NRL and BPCL’s reputation through Nes Jorabat’s exemplary facilities, including automation, ample parking, and various amenities such as a coffee shop, car wash, and EV charging.

The event also saw the launch of the ‘Ustaad Loyalty’ program, rewarding customers with points for their purchases.

The event was attended by BPCL’s state head North East Pankaj Das, BPCL’s Assam territory manager Mowsam Khaund, BPCL’s state engineering officer Faiyaz Alam, BPCL’s TC Shillong territory Janmjeet Das, BPCL’s Shillong engineering officer Pankaj Doley, BPCL’s sales officer Meghalaya and Tripura area Asmita Khan.

While from the dealer side, it was attended by the complete Jain family along with Ex GM of NRL Apoorva Bhattacharya with his wife who is renowned folk singer Mimi Bhattacharya, Assamese actress Neetali Das, and some famous Assamese social media influencers including the Assam lady biker Punam along with several guests, officers, dignitaries, friends, and family members of the Jain family.

Nes Jorabat’s relaunch signifies a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, setting new standards in the retail fuel industry.
